the LAN in rm404 is the easier bit...infact a straight forward case. the 
tougher
side is planning for hanging cables out of the ceiling. my attraction to NCR
is that they'll do a neat job straight into the patch panel mounted on
the side pillar, and into the cabinet(RACK).

take a look. go to the rooftop(above 12th Floor). we only have one key to 
rm404.
its here with us at the CFI/UoL office -- so, you might want to call
for the key if you intend to get into the room.

that's correct.

yes, this would be the case in the strictness of things as stated in the 
TG, however
the IXP IMHO should give a hand and meet members networks halfway -- esp. 
the line of site/wireless type i.e have that switch up near the rooftop.

also, the neatness of the cable layout and ease of isolation/labeling is 
helped if we
have a single fibre strand from the rooftop.

lets revisit this later on so that everyone is sure we're taking the 
correct decision.
meanwhile, we'll get the internal LAN, RACK, patch panels etc.. setup.
